WiiM Amp playing a ringing sound like an alarm after a while

Hi Team,

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. Our engineers are currently working on it. It appears to be a bug introduced when we recently added the fallback alarm feature, which activates when the music alarm source is unavailable (e.g., during an Internet outage).

If it turns out to be related to overlapping alarms this would explain why that bug never bit me.

I just upgraded to firmware version 5.0.639034. Does this version have a fix? Just asking because whatever version it was that I was running this morning was still chiming despite my configuring the alarms to be non-contiguous (i.e., one alarm at 0730 for 4:25 duration, and a second alarm at 1200 for 5:00 duration).

This update includes the following bug fixes.

[Alarm Behavior Update: Fixed an issue where alarms didn’t stop after their duration if the selected music was unavailable.]

However, I don't think this bug has anything to do with setting continuous 2 alarms. Please try setting an alarm to start after 2 minutes and see if the problem is fixed.

You might be the first to get the update. No sign of it for me yet.

Ok, I found why that sound is being played, it's WiiM's Alarm sound! But I don't know why it is being played...

I have set up the alarm to play a Preset which is a radio station from Tune In at 8:14 AM during workdays and 10:16 AM during weekends, but after some hours the Alarm starts playing by itself.

I don't understand how this is happening though.

Maybe the radio station stops playing for some reason and the fallback alarm takes over.

As the first image shows, this could be due to a weak Wi-Fi signal in the living room speakers.
