The wiim amp will get firmware update that can turn usb input to output. I’m pretty sure there will be setting on wiim app how would you want to use usb or automatic detection.Where do you have the information from regarding USB out?

Nothing more about the feature has been said beyond what WiiM said here, anything else is speculation at this pointBut where have you this information from?
perfect. thanks, ordering now from Amazon UK thenHi x86,
There's no need to manually turn on the amp with the remote each time. It automatically enters an idle mode to conserve power, remaining visible on the network for convenient streaming via AirPlay or the WiiM Home App.
Thanks, x86. Looking forward to hearing about your experience once you receive it. Enjoy your new purchase!perfect. thanks, ordering now from Amazon UK then
That update really works for the power at standby. The unit is cool, and the power light is completely off.
just to report that I have received my Amp today and I am happy with it and no humming sound (ordered yesterday late evening from Amazon UK stock) in case it helps people from UK here, looks like the bad batch is behind usThanks, x86. Looking forward to hearing about your experience once you receive it. Enjoy your new purchase!

Good choice, i have a pair of warfedale 9.0 in the house that have been doing service for years. Sound great and still going strong.Iv'e been playing with the Amp today, I am using it in my small relax room.
I have decided to order a pair of compact Wharfedale 9.0 to try as I am not sure about the Missions I am using.
The Mission 70's have sat in the Attic for 20 years and sound surprisingly good but I think it could sound better.....

Agree, I've been playing too. Using the subwoofer configuration in the Home app I have achieved very good integration of my sub and main speakers.Since I’m off today, I’m tinkering my wiim amp and see what this unit can do. So, I connect a subwoofer and see what’s the fuss about. I used Yamaha receiver in 2.1 configuration but I wasn’t happy because my ear can detect improper integration either there was a hole or overlapping. The adjustment on crossover selection is limited whereas wiim can be adjusted by incremental by 1 hz. I got this dialed in where the 3db down on woofer plus 10 hz. It’s seemless integration now that I never accomplish on av receiver. The distance setting on av receiver also ruining the stereo image. Wiim simple and straight setting is all it’s needed even for my nit picking and most discriminating ear. Thanks wiim!
