Not to argue with your mirror...
It appears that this also highlights the sheer quantity of units in the field for the more popular WiiM models - it just takes so much longer for all those units to reach the head of their Update Queues...
I prefer my hypothesis, but did briefly consider yours too ;)

WARNING - this firmware BREAKS Wi-Fi connectivity.

This awful firmware release auto-updated across two of my devices in the early hours. I discovered tonight that they refuse to connect to my WiFi. All worked just fine before the update.

The firmware now only supports WPA2.

Be warned. Disable this update if you can. The QA team have failed spectacularly with regression testing this before release.

> Wi-Fi: Improved network stability and >enhanced compatibility with Wi-Fi 7 routers

Hilarious. Does the complete opposite. I have WiFi7 access points (what’s a WiFi 7 router, exactly?). Was stable prior. Now b0rked.

Have you reported this via the more/feedback section of the app so WiiM can inspect your device logs?

Also, have you powered cycled the units?

How do you do that when the devices have zero connectivity?

I have sent them some highly shitty emails though, yes. When connectivity was restored I’ve sent them the logs.

Also, have you powered cycled the units?

Sigh.

This firmware should never have been released in current state. It should be pulled.

My C10 is still working as well as ever since it received this firmware update two days ago.

What Credentials Security were you using previously that is apparently no longer supported??

The network is mixed WPA2/3. It wasn’t until I set it to only WPA2 did the devices connect. Now I’ve switched it to WPA2 & WPA 3 and the devices still connect.

These are UniFi APs. Have worked for years with Wiim devices without issue. Both firmware’s were pushed at ~0420 yesterday. Both broke.

It’s a broken release and should be pulled.

My WiiM Edition Audio Pro A10 updated and is working fine. WiiM support will either put you back on the older firmware or maybe even push you new firmware with a fix for your particular setup if they can identify the issue from your logs.

What WPA level is your SSID broadcasting? I fixed it by creating a separate WPA2 only SSID.

As I said, all worked perfectly before the firmware update.
