Hi, I am new to WiiM system and forum. I have an Asustor NAS connected via ethernet to the WiiM Pro. This connection is via SMB service from the NAS. All of my music including many HD files are stored on the NAS.
I recently replaced my old Auralic Aries Mini with a WiiM Pro expecting similar features in the app. However the WHA seems very basic compared to the Lightning DS app that controlled the Aries. In the latter I could browse by album, artist, genre, file resolution etc etc. In the WHA all I have is a listing by artist.
Am I missing something? Should I use a UPnP or DLNA server on the NAS instead of just SMB?
Appreciate any thoughts.
