As I have written before, better to make a Web version of the WiiM Home App. That would cover all platforms.i second that,
but i have the Windows version installed on a desktop PC and (for me) it's quite useless. so maybe it is better off that WiiM team focus on the mobile app development
That would indeed be nice and give buyer confidence that even if they abandon it there is not a dependency on an app. Small web server running on it assuming it has the resource to do so.As I have written before, better to make a Web version of the WiiM Home App. That would cover all platforms.
The WiiM device already run a Web Service (HTTP), so it's a matter of expanding that to serve a device specific web page also. Maybe it will be a problem for the Mini but for the rest it should be possible to do.That would indeed be nice and give buyer confidence that even if they abandon it there is not a dependency on an app. Small web server running on it assuming it has the resource to do so.
Young pup!! Galadriel was over 7000 at that point ( and still looking FINE!), and Cirdan was showing some grey at over 11000 years!!
I wouldn't put all the blame on WiiM regarding the limitations of their Windows/MacOS WiiMHome Apps. Most of the Music Streaming Services (and Video Streamers for that fact too) are highly restrictive regarding their APIs and the Features that 3rd-party's are allowed to present to the Public. (Try GoogleAI: "which music streaming services lack or restrict 3rd-party api for windows")The app is almost perfect on your Android/Apple phone I guess, any other form like Windows, Mac, Home Assistant or whatever is not important enough for WiiM
yes first they should finish the apps for the smartphone. There are still a lot of basic functions / options missing and questionable control paths etc. but its getting better and one day it will be finished ... Still happy with my Amp![]()
Honestly, I don't think such an app can ever be finished.... and one day it will be finished ... I hope![]()

The iPadOS version is better on an M series Mac.Besides, I can run the iPhone WHA on my Mac.
This is what I do on my M1 MBA; works way better than the native Mac OS app.The iPadOS version is better on an M series Mac.
