WiiM Home TV App - ATV 4k - No album art displayed in WHTV when Apple Music plays directly from ATV (not via airplay), should it be?

Hi All,
I understand HDMI ARC (audio return channel) into the WiiM Ultra is audio data only and so no album art / album data is passed through, hence there is never any album art displayed on my WiiM ultra’s screen when ATV is the source.
Now that WiiM Home TV App (can I coin the acronym WHTV?) has been published for ATV, should album art display at least on my TV where the WHTV app is in use?
If yes, then I have a fault. If no, then is this in the pipeline since the data is effectively available on the source ATV.
Personally I like the ATV Music app just fine but the added benefits of Bit rate / audio quality display and the ability to link/unlink other WiiM devices (this needs more work by the looks of things) for full room control via the ATV (ie not via the WiiM Home app for phones/tablets) is very appealing.
Also on a side note, I use multiple WiiM devices to provide multi room audio. Is there an easy way to command ‘Alexa’ to link/unlink WiiM devices so that I can just ask ‘Alexa’ to add or remove a room to my WiiM source device? Or can this be done via the WiiM remote/remote2?
I kind of got the impression from the WiiM Remote 2 details that the 4 preset buttons could be configured for immediate linking of other WiiM devices to the source device, is my understanding of this correct?
I thank you in advance for sensible responses.

The WHTV can only show what your Ultra can. For HDMI ARC there is audio only.

The WiiM Home TV app can only see what the Ultra sees and given the Ultra isn’t sent album art, the TV app can’t pick it up.

I’d doubt it as there’s no communication between the Apple TV apps and the WiiM Home TV app.

The WiiM Home TV app is primarily a remote display for what’s playing on your WiiM, it’s not meant as a replacement for the mobile app.

Also on a side note, I use multiple WiiM devices to provide multi room audio. Is there an easy way to command ‘Alexa’ to link/unlink WiiM devices so that I can just ask ‘Alexa’ to add or remove a room to my WiiM source device?

Alexa has no awareness of WiiM/Linkplay groups. If you are playing services such as Amazon Music via Alexa (unfortunately Apple Music isn’t supported on WiiM devices via Alexa), then you can create Alexa multi room music (MRM) groups in the Alexa app and command Alexa to move music between devices and MRM groups.

Or can this be done via the WiiM remote/remote2?

No, there’s currently no feature with the remote to link devices or play to a group, although the latter may come in a later revision of smart presets.

I kind of got the impression from the WiiM Remote 2 details that the 4 preset buttons could be configured for immediate linking of other WiiM devices to the source device, is my understanding of this correct?

As above, I haven’t seen any suggestion that that would be the case.

I thank you in advance for sensible responses.

Hope mine were, but as anyone can respond to any post, that can’t be guaranteed ;)
