Awesome work thank you!!

Future features suggestions: Would be nice to have lyrics sync with playing song and have the same functionalities as the android smartphone wiim app (configure device, browse apps, etc)

Hmm so this is far not working for me, I started Radio Paradise on my WiiM Ultra but nothing shows up on my Google TV screen running the WiiM Home TV app. I also don't see any way to browse or start a stream in the app yet, and the Ultra device is not recognized.

I killed and then restarted the app to no effect. I do see the DLNA logo in the upper left-hand corner of the UI, does that mean this is only working so far with DLNA (I use Squeezelite, Qobuz, and internet radio sources)?

I also rebooted the Ultra, no change.

Try restarting your ultra and see this thread

Thank you! Installed easily on my Google TV dongle and automatically found my WiiM Pro Plus. No issues at all.

I've been using the WIIM Home app on my Google TV today and it's absolutely great, save one issue. For some reason, every 20 or 30 minutes, the app switches the display on the screen from the WIIM device that is currently playing, to another device in the home that is in standby mode. To get the album art and play controls back up, I have to go to the bottom left of the screen and reselect the currently playing device. Is there a setting that I am not seeing somewhere, or is this an issue that will need an update?

Google TV box connected via ethernet. Wiim Mini via WiFi. WiiM Home app does not see WiiM Mini device. When I disconnect Google TV box from ethernet and connect only via WiFi everything works fine. Connected in one network. How can I change it so that the apk also works via ethernet?

They are actually the same thing, Google TV is just new for late 2024 branding, all Google TV devices run Android TV builds.
i don't think they are the same although similar..... Android TV was originally based on vanilla Android, Google TV not and has machine learning and lots of other stuff whereas Android TV doesn't, they handle suggestions differently etc... I'm happy to be corrected if I'm wrong...

No worries and maybe we are splitting hairs here, the current hardware offering from Google dropped the Chromecast branding in late 2024 which was admittedly too wordy (Chromecast with Google TV) in favor of Google TV Streamer.

That said, the late 2024 Google TV Streamer (4K) runs Android TV Build UTTK.250305.003. While that may not be the exact same Android TV build running on various other Android TV boxes, it is in fact Android TV on hardware with a different brand name.
