One for the developers, as well as the album art it would be nice to have some narrative on the band scrolling on the screen, one of my mates has a volumino rivo+ streamer which has this feature I find it interesting.
I have been running the WiiM screen app over the last couple of days, here's some feedback 1) yesterday I saw the app go black for a couple of seconds, this repeated randomly throughout the day. However not seen it happen so far today
2) one big freeze up, songs and small screen moved on, but TV screen just froze. That took a complete reboot of WiFi to fix. I could navigate the app with a remote and looked under devices but saw nothing there, it looked like it couldn't see my WiiM Ultra

No to scrolling artist info 😜👎

Hi Hammer66,

We will reproduce the issue on Android 10. Please note that the official version 1.0 has a known issue where it fails to discover devices when your TV is connected to Ethernet. We have uploaded a new version to address this issue, and it is currently under review by Google Play.
Version 1.1 was working for some time but today it has stopped working on Ethernet again. It doesn't find the WiiMs and is crashing if I select the "Devices".

It works ok if on WiFi only.

Anyone seeing the same?

That's all it's ever done for me on ethernet.
But I can wait for the next (next) version.

Actually if I start it on WiFi and it finds the WiiMs, I can reconnect the Ethernet and it continues to work. So it's only a discovery issue.

It occurred to me that this discovery problem can (partly) be an issue with some routers, without diving in to technical terms, not correctly "talking" to its WIFI and Ethernet side of the internal network.

Everything seems to be working as normal for me on v1.1 with WiiM Ultra and Google TV Streamer (4K) both connected via Ethernet.

Maybe the build in Google TV in my Sony Bravia TV is causing the issue?

It did actually work first time I tested it but not today. So a bit random.

I hope that your problem gets sorted eventually. Still I think that Sony's integration of Google TV is the best in the business from all tv's sold in Europe.

That could very well be the issue, though I think we had seen another member here with 2 older Sony TVs that were running Android 9 and 10 respectively, and things were working for him after the v1.1 TV app update at last report.

My Google TV Streamer is the latest version of that device, running Android TV OS 14, with Android TV OS Build UTTK.250305.003, Kernel version 5.15.170.

I agree, Sony's Android TV integration on the U.S. models is also excellent, average non-technically oriented people seem to have no trouble in using it.

Mine is kernel 4.9, so from 2023. No updates after that.

The issue is only when discovering devices on Ethernet. When initially found via WiFi I can switch back to Ethernet. So no major issue. Just a bit annoying.
