This is something so basic I imagine it's already been requested many times, but would it be possible to add permanently available playback controls in the notification menu and lock screen on Android? Every other streaming and music app has them, and it's frustrating having to open the app every time you want to stop or start playback.

It has been mentioned often, but perhaps the issue is that the WiiM app can control the playback of multiple devices/streams and I don’t know if the Android feature you request can handle multiple device controls.

Perhaps an alternative can be to use a widget to display ‘now playing’ info and some basic controls. Would be nice!

Adding another vote to this thread - Wiim, please add a feature to include a notification to the Android lock screen and pull down menu with basic controls of the music currently playing (prev, pause/play, next). This is a standard feature in Sonos and BluOs and would be a big boost to the Wiim Home app's already excellent feature set.

@WiiM Team This is a standard feature of any AV app on Android! Except WHA.

As a matter of fact, this was the first feature I requested on this forum and it has not happened in over 2 years since then.

I recognize that this is probably difficult to implement in the current WiiM app. Perhaps a separate simple app that works as a remote needs to be created 🤔.

Yes or a widget.
