Release date:

Bug Fix:
  1. No Bass Audio: Fixed an issue that caused bass audio not to output.

I don't think so. I just started to use RoomFit after the split, as I mostly use the EQ. Adding the RoomFit as a base for the EQ has actually enhanced the sound much more than I was expecting.
Yes, exactly. It's more than a little surprising. It's like my full range system got an injection of steroids. Everything is enhanced across the board. The vibrancy and separation is on another new level.

Extremely impressed here.

The Roomfit part of it is still the same as it was before the split. One way to compare would be to copy the Roomfit profile into PEQ and disable Roomfit. It should sound exactly the same.

The RoomFit change is really really really really confusing and annoying.

I’m glad for those who for whatever reason wanted EQs on top of their EQs so they can EQ while they EQ. But for someone who liked having all of their EQs in one menu like myself, this sucks ass. I know I can manually copy over RF/RC profiles but that’s a real shitty solution, huh.

I don't see the RoomFit as an EQ. It's a way to make your system sounding neutral and remove room issues, and then you can apply EQ/PEQ on top of that too match the music style or your mood.

make sure WiiM knows your take on their recent "upgrade" , and open a ticket on this

I guess I just don’t.

I thought it made a PEQ based on room acoustics to tune and neutralize your speakers based on one of several listening target curves
Yes. The sound profile created by RoomFit is to make a "flat" sound that is well controlled. It doesn't have to sound "good" but sometimes it do. It's used as the base for additional EQ to fit your taste.

I have found a good RoomFit profile and I don't change that any more (except currently I will have to disable it when using headphones). Then I apply normal EQ on top of that. I do for example add some additional bas when playing at low volume but removes it when playing loud.

The RoomFit profile don't change, as it gives me the controlled baseline for the other EQs.

But you can also choose from three target curves in Roomfit and stereo or individual channel which effectively gives you another three target curves 🙂. Having the option to use EQ on top of Roomfit is a good idea but I wouldn't be surprised if I never use it. I would rather have another 10 filters available for Roomfit.

Ok. That is not how I use it.

I played around with all these target curves and measurement methods until I found the one that fits my system best. Then I stay with that until I change my room or speaker placement.

Everything else is done by the normal PEQ/EQ, depending on source and my mood.
