I believe I have all of the settings correct on the wiim and Amazon music app.. I can easily play high res from Amazon music while in the wiim home app but I cant get high res to cast directly from the Amazon music app to the wiim? Suggestions? I looked at the help articles and I followed the steps..nothing worked.

Do you have Streaming Quality set to Best Available in the Amazon music app settings?

I found that the best solution to this is to play Amazon music in the WiiM app rather than the Amazon app, as for reasons I'm still not sure of Chromecast is unreliable on my pro plus.

Now I use Tidal, however the advice I provided should still work.

Unless AlexaCast isn’t available in your region, there’s no reason you should be using ChromeCast for Amazon Music as the latter only supports up to 16/48

This is the casting options I have. (Family room is the wiim). I don’t see the round Alexa one? I did confirm my Amazon music HD setting is toggled on in the Amazon music settings in the wiim app.

You need to have linked your WiiM Home app to Alexa for your WiiM to appear there. The Amazon Music toggle merely controls the quality.

Which region are you in as AlexaCast may not be supported there even though Amazon Music is.
Edit: although having asked that, it must be if the Bathroom device is an echo which appears you can cast to.

I’m in the US. The bathroom unit is a Sonos era 300. I think I linked wiim to Alexa, is there a tutorial just to be sure?

In the WiiM Home app, on the Browse page, in the Music Services section choose Amazon Alexa and enter your Amazon/Alexa credentials. The Amazon Alexa entry is near the top of the list of services on iOS, but strangely at the bottom for Android. If it doesn’t appear on the list at all, select Music Services and toggle it on in that page.

You can then check in your Alexa app where your WiiM should then appear as a device under Echo&Alexa on the devices tab.
