Probably a lot of hard work trying to get the firmware stable for release? Here goes Monday and I wonder what weekend means for WiiM
Wouldn't you expect that this would be necessary for Roon Ready qualification, a stable release? If they wouldn't have said weekend I wouldn't care so much.Probably a lot of hard work trying to get the firmware stable for release?

Not really firmware sent for Roon Ready won’t be a true release candidate it will be a dev build.Wouldn't you expect that this would be necessary for Roon Ready qualification, a stable release? If they wouldn't have said weekend I wouldn't care so much.
total silence, that’s the problem. they should give a answer to their announcement perhaps, it would be fairNot really firmware sent for Roon Ready won’t be a true release candidate it will be a dev build.
When the Pro got Roon Ready certification, as I recall it was a full week or so before we got the firmware that enabled it. WiiM can sometimes be optimistic in their targets and those of us who are long term users recognise that and don’t fret over perceived delays - after all, it’s not as if your device is non functional and in the interim you can still use it with Roon as an Airplay, Chromecast or Squeezelite endpoint.total silence, that’s the problem. they should give a answer to their announcement perhaps, it would be fair
optimistic and to announce something is different. and yes i am patient, can also use a Allo Digione, which sounds still better via coax output to external DAC but it is what it is. and I know how to use the WiiM, believe meWhen the Pro got Roon Ready certification, as I recall it was a full week or so before we got the firmware that enabled it. The new firmware will arrive when it’s ready. Please be patient.
The deteriorating Google casting infrastructure is a large part of why I bought two Pro+ streamers. Can't really blame ROON for that.i don't think they are working. They will have now a week to implement, update firmware...so maybe next weekend.
I have other problems with ROON actually (lack of support for Google Nest Hub 2nd Gen to be used as a Display - 3 1/2 years talking about that)
I use a music streamer for my Roon server and use Qobuz through Roon normally too, out of convenience. When I bought the WiiM Pro Plus I was under the impression it was already Roon ready. Maybe my mistake to not go through the fine print but it was not very obvious when I bought it. So every day that passes the WiiM is a black brick except I stream directly from Qobuz. I have no intention to use Chromecast or squeezebox and tinker around. So pardon my impatience. No feedback to what is going on with the update doesn't help me either. My old streamer broke so I cannot just go back. From memory, WiiM have released firmware updates over a weekend before, but as anyone who has been a user for a while knows WiiM‘s targets are often optimistic. So what if it’s a couple of days or a week later than they had originally hoped? It’s like having children in the back of the car continually asking “are we there yet”?
and all goin' crazy now....
Won’t do a thing. Your device will get the update when it’s available for it, restarting won’t expedite that.and all goin' crazy now....
restart your machines, ladies and gents
i'm joking...since my post about roon ready seems that everyone wen't crazy....Won’t do a thing. Your device will get the update when it’s available for it, restarting won’t expedite that.
