I would like to use the WIIM Pro as a preamp/input selector. I would be using the wifi streaming, BT, Line-in, and SPDIF input. It looks like the only way to switch inputs is to go into a menu in the app? Will the remote allow direct input switching with the number buttons? Is it an IR remote? I would love to be able to control the Pro with my Logitech Harmony but I imagine I can't.
Could I get these questions about input switching and the remote answered?

Same here but mine will be delivered end of the month. Why my order is end of the month?
Delivery times for Amazon are often based on which Amazon depot the item is stored in, where your nearest distribution centre is and how far away you are from that. I guess being a Prime customer might also come into it when deciding priorities.

Hi TimW,

"I would like to use the WIIM Pro as a preamp/input selector. I would be using the wifi streaming, BT, Line-in, and SPDIF input. It looks like the only way to switch inputs is to go into a menu in the app?"

The WiiM Pro supports Auto-sensing of your physical audio inputs including Line-In or SPDIF in. It will automatically switch to Line-in or SPDIF in when there's active audio (exceeds certain threshold).

There's dedicated source switch button that you can use. Currently the number buttons are used to play the presets. We'll let you customize these shortcut buttons to other functions in our future software update. The remote is Bluetooth LE based using HID protocol.

Logitech Harmony hub supports Bluetooth remotes if they support the product (like the Apple TV 4K remote with the Bluetooth profile). Maybe they will if asked for the WiiM mini/Pro product (since it sounds like IR is not integrated into the unit for remotes).

That depends on how reactive Logitech are to new requests given they’re no longer making the hub/remotes. I know they’re still providing some support but I don’t know if that extends to adding new devices to their database.

I have read logitech intends to keep it's device database updated but wonder about products that are not mainstream. I was pleasantly surprised that my harmony controls my Gustard 16 DAC(y)

I do see Logitech continuing to update their database for new devices … personally I expect the support to be around for at least 5-10 more years

What's missing is the remote😭
As has been posted a few times, there will be two SKUs when the remote is available - a Pro with remote, and a Pro without remote (as well as a separate SKU for the remote itself I’d guess). As the remote isn’t yet available yet, they’re only offering the latter at the moment.

Personally I'm not desperate for one so think I'd probably hold off buying until it's available as a combo.
Normally you buy something the combination is discounted from the start for an increase in overall sales value as opposed to buying the units seperately .
Whenever you buy an "add on" at a later stage it always ends up costing you a heap more than buying the combo from the start.

Just my experience in life.

For those of you who've placed an order from outside US: has your pro been shipped yet? Mine hasn't even though I ordered it over a week ago...

First review of Pro on amazon:

Would have been more interesting if they had stated which advertised functions weren’t available on launch - we’re all aware of the roadmap, but there’s very little or nothing on that amazon page that we don’t already have.
