WiiM pro reversing stereo channels through the SPDIF input

I have my WiiM pro installed between my CD player and DAC. And when using the SPDIF input to play CD's the channels are intermittently reversed (L/R to R/L) ...... I've tried reseating the cables, swapping them out completely and rebooting the unit several times to no avail. Are there any upcoming upgrades to solve this issue ?

So, I've been using my Wiim Pro with the same settings as before for a couple more days now and only manged to reproduce this once without clear indication why it happened. When it happened I put my Wiim into standby then back up via the remote, but the issue was still there, and after a second standby and back on from the remote it fixed itself. Seems like it's a pretty rare occurence, likely they've fixed most of the causes and only some edge cases are left.

Hopefully you managed to submit a ticket so WiiM could further investigate it by inspecting your device logs …

Most importantly: Also provide feedback (that's WiiM's wording for opening a ticket) through the WiiM Home App. Device logs will be sent along with your description plus you can add pictures.

This issue appeared to have been fixed some time ago, but obviously not so (under all circumstances).
Like the toslink input sensing delay it seems to be recurring. I regularly check Norwegian Wood by the Beatles to check.

I've created a ticket as well, channels switch multiple times a week. PC connected to WiiM Pro via Optical IN and output via COAX.

EDIT: got a firmware update from support and the problem seems to have been fixed. Just did a short test session though.

yeah same thing, I got a test fw before but that made the issue only happen a little bit less often, sent over another feedback and now I'm on a newer test fw, we'll see how it goes. In my case it would happen like once or twice a week at most so it wasn't that easy to catch.

Not a clue, but the test firmware seems to work here. I've restarted my PC multiple times, the WiiM Pro has entered standby mode more than 10 times today, switched between wifi and optical input multiple times, and haven't had the problem anymore.
I also notice that the optical input 'sensing' is faster.

Hope to still say the same in a few days.

Same happening here currently. Both via SPDIF and RCA out (two separate minis). About once a month last four months.
Create a support ticket through the app when the issue occurs next time, I'm currently on a custom built software branch for this specific issue and havent had the channel flip happen since my last message here. Currently i'm waiting for Wiim to port these fixes to the newest update since i'm stuck on a version from july.

WiiM support team has mentioned an ETA for my update twice so far, and afterwards didn't meet it in both of those instances. I'm still stuck on 4.8.621960 and they are ghosting me now when I follow up asking for any kind of update. It's been nearly 2 months since I've opened the first ticket about getting the fix brought into the main branch of software updates. Quite unacceptable behavior I'd say. One thing is explaining the delays and keeping me informed but cutting contact with a customer is on another level.

I have exactly the same problem. My firmware is still 4.8.6211960. So no updates in the last 3 months. I also opened a ticket, but no response from Wiim.

Yeah.. I don't have any patience left for this. They misunderstood the ask in the ticket and put me back on the main branch without my approval. Then said that a fix might come in a "week", they said it on November the 4th. No update on my ticket was provided since then even after I replied. Baffling.

I'm waiting for FiiO K17 to drop as it basically checks all of the boxes I was hoping for WiiM to fill here, once that happens I will be happily getting rid of this device and it's abysmal support.
