WiiM pro reversing stereo channels through the SPDIF input

I have my WiiM pro installed between my CD player and DAC. And when using the SPDIF input to play CD's the channels are intermittently reversed (L/R to R/L) ...... I've tried reseating the cables, swapping them out completely and rebooting the unit several times to no avail. Are there any upcoming upgrades to solve this issue ?

I'm on a WiiM amp and having the same exact issue. Replied about it over here: https://forum.wiimhome.com/threads/...lipping-left-right-channels.4980/#post-107089. Seems like it's impacting a number of WiiM products.

When does this happen and how did you notice it? As far as I know mine has never swopped channels.

Do we know at least prerequisites? For example, digital input must be in use.

For me me being on a WiiM Amp, it seems to manifest when switching between HDMI inputs. Something I know the WiiM Pro doesn't have, so that may not be helpful.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I'm using ARC to feed the WiiM from my TV. When switching between HDMI inputs from the TV, or even when just turning on to the first HDMI input from sleep, it seems there's a 1/3 chance it'll be reversed. Hard to say with 100% certainty because I really only notice it with some content and games, but once you see something on screen that doesn't line up with the channel, you know, and flipping the input back and forth from HDMI to line in and back, it resolves itself.

That would explain why I've never seen the issue. I connect my TV via optical since it is too old to have HDMI ARC.

Potentially unrelated but the WiiM Pro/Pro+ roadmap hasn’t been updated since October 4th. Doesn’t exactly instill me with confidence. Really wish they’d prioritize fixing this before pushing new features (that I can’t even use on the old ‘fixed’ firmware).

Combined with the response I got from support yesterday:

The official release date is currently uncertain. However, if you use HDMI inputs more frequently, I can provide you with a beta version in the meantime.

it sounds like my issue may be HDMI-specific, but it sounds like the OP is seeing this with SPDIF.
