WiiM Remote battery life

Hey everyone,

Just curious what battery life you get out of your remote?
I have a Wiim Amp since November, and just had to replace the batteries of the remote for the second time. I don't even use the remote that much (maybe a few times a week, when I adjust volume while watching TV*), so that seems quite short to me. Is there maybe someting wrong with my remote or is this usual?

*: I would love to use the HDMI Arc feature, but I never got it to work with my LG B4.

Never changed them since I got the Ultra in August.

Well, I've been using mine daily since November last year and it's still on the first set of batteries and is still being reported as okay in the App.

Are you shutting down the WiiM amp frequently? If so, you may be shortening the battery life of the remote (just a guess).

My Wiim Remote (first series), it's been draining it's batteries from February until now, remaining virtually unused (i always use the smartphone to control the Ultra).
This seems like excessive, if not abnormal, battery drain...

If you aren't using the remote control very much, you should remove the batteries like I have done with most of mine.

Yes but still it's not normal for a remote to drain batteries in 6 months

My remote controls have been through a few sets of alkaline batteries, which is why I have removed them from my least used remote controls.

I must say that mine seems to be eating batteries at the moment.

I've had my remote on the same batteries for 13 months. Use it most days, still working fine. WHA shows battery level as 'normal'.
