WiiM Sound Lite & wired Sub problem

Hey Guys,

I have a WiiM Amp Pro with two Canton Speakers and a Canton Sub connected wired for my desk setup (PC connected via opt). Now I bought two WiiM Sound Lite to test something that sounded legit in my head. I want to have a second Zone in my room for DJ stuff. the two Sound Lite are the stereo speakers for zone 2 and I can control, which speaker pair i want to be playing in the WiiM Home App (just mute the ones I don't need). The sub should always play, whether the canton speakers or the WiiM speakers are playing. The DJ-Mixer is connected with RCA on the Amp Ultra.

The Speaker-Playing-Setup is working fine. It is possible to use both canton AND both Sound Lite speakers playing at the same time or - how I want it - mute on or another so that only the PC-setup OR the DJ-Setup is playing. The Problem is the Subwoofer. When I use the Wired Speakers, the sub plays. When I mute them and only the WiiM Sound Lite are used, the Sub doesn't work.

I think, the App looks at all WiiM-Amp-wired-stuff as one Group and the wirelessly connected Sound Lite Speakers as another group. When the Amp is muted, the Sub is muted too because its connected there. but I want the Canton speakers muted (or turned off) only - not the sub.

Does anyone have some hints for this case?

That is how I would expect it to work.

I’d say it’s working the way it should as the sub volume should vary with the amp volume, and when you mute the amp, you by definition mute the sub too whether it’s in a group or not

Hi,

Try using the PEQ's low-pass filter. It should cut the frequency range reproduced by the speakers, allowing only the subwoofer's frequency range to be played.

Setup Procedure.

1) Open the PEQ screen in Amp Pro.

2)Use one of the 10 bands and set the low-pass (LP) filter to the same value as the subwoofer's crossover frequency.
(E.g., 80Hz/Q:0.7)

3) Save the EQ with a name.

4) Edit an empty preset and register this EQ.
(Registering it to any preset from 1 to 8 allows you to recall this EQ using the remote's number buttons.)

To mute only the Amp Pro speakers during group playback, press the remote's preset button and apply the EQ. Also, create another preset with a flat EQ and use it as an on/off switch for this EQ.
