I have a WiiM Ultra streamer, and I need a recommendation for an Ethernet-to-HDMI extender to send audio from my low-voltage rack to my bedroom Samsung TV. I have tried the Orei ARC EX300K, and it did not send audio to my TV. I will appreciate your help.

Hi welcome

Could you please explain in more details what you are trying to achieve?

Please note that ARC on the TV is output only and on the WiiM Ultra it's input only.

I want to connect my master room TV to a WiiM Ultra through a Cat6 to HDMI converter. They are about 60 feet away. The converter that I used did not work! I know how to make the proper connection; I just need to know what to buy.

So sound from TV to WiiM?

Note that HDMI ARC is not the same as HDMI video. So the converter must support ARC specifically.

Yes, I know it has to be HDMI ARC, but there are some compatibility issues with the WiiM Ultra. I just want to know which one I should buy.

What about this one ?

I don't have it myself but it looks like what you want.

I just bought a similar model as the one you posted, and it did not work with HDMI, but it did work with SPDIF, which I don't like because I can't control the volume with the TV remote. Well, I will give the one you posted a try and let you know. Thanks for the prompt reply.

The one posted is specifically for ARC. I guess the one you tried is for the audio imbedded in the video signal. That is not the same.

This is the one I tried (Orei ARC EX300K).
Ok. That should work also.

So the transmitter is connected to the TV HDMI ARC output and the receiver to the WiiM HDMI input. And the TV is configured to output PCM audio on the ARC?

If that is not working the Orei ARC EX300K or the HDMI cables may be faulty.

That was exactly what I did and also set the input to HDMI in the WiiM Ultra app. I used the HDMI cable that comes in the WiiM Ultra box, and the Cat6 is tested.

Your first posts was very confusing. You cannot send audio to any TV using the WiiM Ultra.

I know how to make the proper connection; I just need to know what to buy.
This is not a very common request and your setup is still a little unclear, so it's unlikely somebody can simply recommend a product. Even if you know what you want, you'll have to tell us about your exact setup.

So, the Samsung (?) TV is in one room and the WiiM Ultra is in another room, 60 ft away? Or are you talking about two different TVs, one in your "master room" and another one in your bedroom? I don't see that working. How would the WiiM Ultra be involved?

Yes, I know it has to be HDMI ARC, but there are some compatibility issues with the WiiM Ultra.
In case you just want to get the sound from a remote TV to your WiiM Ultra, note that the Ultra does not support eARC, but just ARC. So, no matter what you do, your TV must be set up to output ARC, no matter if the Ultra is connected directly or by means of an HDMI extender.

That was exactly what I did and also set the input to HDMI in the WiiM Ultra app. I used the HDMI cable that comes in the WiiM Ultra box, and the Cat6 is tested.
What about the second HDMI cable? You'll need two of them.

My Samsung TV shows an error on the HDMI port. I tried taking the Wiim Ultra close to the TV and connecting it with an HDMI cable without the extender, and it works. That is why I assumed it is a compatibility issue with the Wiim Ultra and HDMI extender.

Does that HDMI extender work properly with other devices?
And I recommend an optical HDMI cable for long-distance communication.
