So, I went to a movie theater and dreaded going to the restroom because I was going to miss part of the show. The movie theater I went to though streamed the audio to the restroom and I missed substantially less since I could hear the dialogue and audio while doing my business. I also have a nice headphone system next to my recliner facing the TV and when my GF is sleeping wanted lossless audio streaming through Linkplay.

I wanted to setup something similar at my home. However this has lead me down a road of pain by learning what EDID is, Arc vs Non Arc HDMI input/outputs, and audio extraction.

My system currently is a A80J Sony OLED EARC out to my Sony HT A5000 with surround speakers and sub, accepting Atmos.

Now before jumping in to help please realize the Wiim Ultra only accepts HDMI Arc not a standard NON Arc HDMI output. Also realize that ATMOS can not be passed through the optical port or analog ports without downmixing. All of this is important if you want to retain Atmos to your Soundbar or system. Does anyone know of a device that does this?

I've found OREI HDA-913 which does downmix to analog 2 channel output but not to optical which I would prefer. Does anyone know of a device that will output either dual ARC simultaneously with Atmos Audio or downmix HDMI Atmos to Optical 5.1?
