Yes. You can select a profile or turn RoomFit off.

And of course create new profiles, edit and delete them. You can however not associate a profile with the output it was created for. And you cannot copy a profile to the EQ.
Why would you need a different roomfit profile for different outputs unless those outputs fed different rooms? Or do some people have different setups in the one room? If so, I wouldn’t think that was a routine occurrence

I would also add that the RoomFit could be registered to particular outputs

As you may be aware, when I run RoomFit with Coax out, the profile shows 'Calibrated On: COAX Out' and when run it with Optical, it shows Optical.

This was not visible in the early beta version, so we can expect phase 2 development to be underway already 🙂

Because I play my optical out to Denon AVR and small speakers, while Line Out to Accuphase amp and large speakers. And those two have very different characteristics. I guess that connecting this to various gear is one of the reasons for which WiiM Ultra have different outputs. And easy of use was one of my primary accolades to WiiM - I could just press a single button on the remote and play particular source to particular output with particular EQ. Now it is not possible at all - I need to take my phone and dig deeply into the menus to change RoomFit profile.

WiiM introduce a new feature (which is mainly optional as you can more or less use everything as before if you prefer), it's just not available from the touchscreen. How can this be reduced functionality? That's twisted logic! 🤪
Well, as quite extensively explained in this tread, unfortunately this is not the case - you cannot use EQ and RF as before. When you set the RF to particular profile it stays and only way of changing it is to dig deep into the menus.

@harkpabst, @dominikz, @WiiM Team, @WiiM Support,

Currently, I can't disable RoomFit (automatically or by preset) when switching to the headphone output.

As a first aid, I would like to create a PEQ that is inversely correlated to the RoomFit profile and switch to this in the presets to see if this can be flattened.

E.g., suppose you have a RoomFit profile like this.

Create a PEQ with a value opposite to this profile.

Select this PEQ as a preset and use it for the headphone output.

Theoretically this would allow us to return to a flat response (±0), but I'm not sure if it would work properly.

What do you think?

Thank you in advance 🤗

At the moment only the headphones is really an issue for me but I do also use the RCA output for my tape recorder and don't want any RoomFit on that either.

Maybe WiiM did design with individual profiles per output, as they include the information? Let us see with next iteration.

I believe this will work, except that I can't guarantee it won't hit the internal limiter with signals close to 0dBFS.
Unfortunately I can measure this to be sure, since none of my devices have separate RC+EQ FW yet.
I think that 'Flat' eq was measured to be different to no eq, and as we still can't choose no eq in a preset then there's buckley's of getting an inverse.
In my tests PEQ was quite predictable. GEQ slightly less so - pehaps that’s what you mean?

Thank you so much.

In the meantime, I will check with my gold-plated ears..😄

That's fine but I suppose many users want to apply a particular EQ profile to their headphones. It would be much more sensible if WiiM allowed an automatic way to disable Roomfit.

I remember my first graphic eq for my hifi, I would get out of my chair fiddle with a couple of settings sit back down have a listen
Couple of minutes later get up again and change a bit more rinse and repeat several times for a couple of hours
Ahhh exercise was so much fun back in the days of no remote controls 😍

Sure, so it's a First aid 🙂
(Although I guess it would be possible to add the values of the EQ profile for headphones to this PEQ.)

The thing missing in the current implementation is that the RoomFit profile is not associated with a specific output. It should, as each output needs it's own correction.
Good point. It’s safe to assume that headphones will be eqed differently than speakers in a room. It would be nice to return to the eq that has last been used with a specific output when switching outputs.

Is there a way to reevaluate the result after manually editing the RoomFit profile?

I do only see the evaluation option when creating a new profile.

I would like to be able to run the evaluation sweep on the edited profile to see how it behaves.
