WiiM Ultra - USB Output output 48khz instead of 96khz

I have a Sennheiser BTD 700 bluetooth dongle connected to my USB Output (discovered this functionality today, nice!).

However, when playing 24-bit/96khz music, the Sennheiser app says the dongle is reporting 48khz (AptX Adaptive).

The dongle supports 96khz. I have connected the dongle to my PC, which outputs 96khz, and the Sennheiser app reports 96khz correctly here.

In the WiiM Home app, I've set the USB Output Resolution to 24-bit/96khz.

It seems the WiiM is not putting out the right resolution to the dongle. Any help?

Have you tried reconnecting the dongle?
Several similar cases have been reported on Reddit, so do have a look.

Sorry I missed this reply!

But yes, I have reconnected and rebooted multiple times.

Not what you asked, but for BT I would suggest sticking with 16/44 as you have a better chance of getting a steady stream without extra compression, APTX, Ldac and other codecs change compression (lossy) continuosly on the fly depending on signal quality, non of them can in fact guarantee lossless 16/44, less so higher resolution, they will get more compressed.

I've seen a few posts about the Sennheiser BTD 700.
I'm not sure if they're relevant to your issue, though.

Thanks, but my BTD 700 does play 96khz via PC, it just doesn't via the WiiM Ultra.
So I would conclude (as a non-expert) that the signal from the WiiM is the problem, not the receiving dongle, as it does process the 96khz from my PC correctly.
