The other way around : Why is the Coax labelled coax in when RCA and Optical are just labelled "in"?

I would assume it is to eliminate any confusion about where to plug a black-and-red RCA pair into. They could have used yellow or purple RCA jacks instead, but it was probably cheaper to print the extra word on the case.

Could also be the case that these are pre- or early-production units, and comments in a thread such as this re cosmetic items might lead to them being relabelled in retail versions.

How could a push button next to the power cord be a power switch? It must be something different!

Interestingly this appears to be the first WiiM device that isn't class 2 but has a proper safety ground.

I noted it above (138) like you... they had so many problems with the pre-series etc that it's really good news..
