I have already come to the same conclusion.Month after month passes ...
No progress.
No response.
@WiiM Team : Just admit that this beta has been abandoned.
Isn't this beta available from the firmware update page for your device? It is the only beta shown for the WiiM Amp.3 months after filling the form to join the beta test, I still don’t have access to it. So I guess, it’s dead
Nope, afaik you have to fill out a form with the mac address for that beta (which I did, as described in the first post of this thread), after that they unlock you (not happened in 3 months) and after it, you see it on your beta firmware setting (I guess)Isn't this beta available from the firmware update page for your device? Sonos functionality can be accessed by 3rd party apps such as Sonify, Hi-Fi Cast, Bubble UPnP, and SonoPhone/SonoPad dependant on the platform you use.So after waiting over a year without airplay - my main reason for buying WiiM pro was to play to Sonos speakers across 3 rooms when their own S2 app went awol
I haven't tried it in a while, but are you grouping the speakers in the Sonos app then selecting only the master Sonos speaker (the speaker you initiated grouping from in the Sonos app) in the DLNA Out configuration in the WiiM Home app?So after waiting over a year without airplay - my main reason for buying WiiM pro was to play to Sonos speakers across 3 rooms when their own S2 app went awol - joined DLNA beta. Now everything silent here too. Sometimes Sonos ok. Sometimes not. DLNA very laggy, can’t sync L+R stereo or between rooms.
Correct me if I am wrong, but it is my understanding that DLNA Out is only supported on the Ultra. On other streamers (Pro, Pro Plus) you need to use the beta software, which is not up to date with a lot of the new features. So, you are stuck on an old version if you want to use DLNA Out on anything but an Ultra. . At least that is what I understand. I cannot test for a while, as I am away from my Wiim/Sonos setup. Grateful for any update on this situation.I haven't tried it in a while, but are you grouping the speakers in the Sonos app then selecting only the master Sonos speaker (the speaker you initiated grouping from in the Sonos app) in the DLNA Out configuration in the WiiM Home app?
I joined the beta on my Pro and my build is reported as:Correct me if I am wrong, but it is my understanding that DLNA Out is only supported on the Ultra.
