Ongoing Beta Beta Test: Qobuz Connect

New Android beta app just dropped!

qconnect-beta08

Nothing specific listed in the release notes, so fair to assume it's a collection of bugfixes and/or performance improvements, possibly related to the new non-WiiM endpoints being tested.
just updated, nothing to report so far.
as expected, qobuz stream continued to play while updating the app from beta07 to 08

This beta on iOS does not seem to support Google Cast. Not for me.

Not that I need it with Connect working. To be noted that I reported previously that the standard (non-Connect) Qobuz iOS app did not work well with 1.68xxx. It transcoded everything to CD quality.
Adias I just checked mine and it does have google cast available. Just wanted to let you know. Have a good one.

I just purchased an ex demo WiiM pro plus and it has Firmware 4.8.712055 installed. I believe that 4.8.712055 is for this beta test. How can I get back to a mainstream firmware?

If you go to settings, device info, join beta testing what do you see?

it does say Firmware version 4.8.712055 (beta) . If I click through it gives me the option to stay on beta or load the current stable version. So that appears to have answered my question. Thanks very much for your help !

Loving Qobuz connect. Using the app to stream some Miles in full high res

Something is going on with the Ultra QC firmware beta and adding the device to a room in the Google Home app (iOS). The device - Ultra - removes itself from the assigned room. Anyone noticed this behavior? @WiiM Support

I removed Ultra from the Google app an added it back and will continue monitoring it.

Something weird is going on. I set it to ‘Full dynamic range’ and minutes later a check shows it has been turned off.
