Ongoing Beta Beta Test: Qobuz Connect

Besides the Denon/Marantz devices, looks like the following are beginning to work with the QConnect beta client applications, according to a post at Qobuz Club (oh, and the Eversolo DMP 6):
Eversolo DMP 8, WiiM Pro, Atoll MS120, Cabasse Pearl Akoya

Although typing this in the US just now, none of mine have Qconnect beta firmware yet. Maybe it'll be pushed by country/time zone?

And Qobuz just pushed a new Android client update, although its version number was not changed.

And what‘s about the Pro plus?
And the Ultra, the amps, A10/C10, etc. All in good time, undoubtedly.

The Pro is probably the simplest device to update first (and there are probably more of them in the wild than any other WiiM except the Mini). There are code differences that could make the others slightly more complicated for regression testing.

Can you give me a link to this post? Can‘t find it at Qobuz Club.
Thank you!
If you've been given access to the private Qobuz Connect Beta forum at Qobuz Club, it's the third post down from the top (including the pinned post).

I have the Beta version of Qobuz via Testflight. My account and device is fully registered for the beta test program. But I don‘t have access to any private forum. What do I have to do for that?

You have to join Qobuz Club (it's free). There's a link in the Welcome to the Qobuz Connect Beta Program! email you received.

I am a member of Qobuz Club since month, but only this Beta Connect forum is still closed.
Did you click the link in the email? It looks like it may have an embedded URI that links directly to the private group. If not, I'd suggest dropping an email to Qobuz's beta support team. Can't predict how long it'll take them to respond with Christmas impending, but they were pretty prompt replying when I contacted them last week.

So I received the firmware update today for the amp. (Beta) Qobuz (iOS) can now see my WiiM as a target. When I went back to WHA it said is was playing mp3 only. Maybe a bug but I’d thought I’d share.

Are these bugs being fed back to Wiim, Qobuz or both? Just interested to know how a joint venture like this is run :)

FWIW, not seeing the MP3 bug that @BK308 mentioned. However, in the WHA, the track's actual bit rate is not reported.

I keep going back and forth between the beta app and the WHA. I don’t think Qobuz connect beta is sending hi res to the WiiM. It sound’s tinny in the hi end to me. The hi res in WHA is so better and smoother sounding. I don’t think it’s placebo even though it’s still states mp3 on the WHA. I’ve sent feedback to both WiiM and Qobuz so hopefully this changes.

How about the speed of the playback control?
For example, how many seconds after pressing the skip button does the next track start?
Haven't tested enough in depth yet, but on a playlist, the couple of times I skipped ahead on a track, it happened almost immediately.

I'll be going through a battery of tests throughout the day, so I'll have a clearer idea of what is working well and what isn't.
