After my report here they appear to have updated the app to use the same correction for each channel at subwoofer frequencies. Still doesn't explain why it misbehaved. I am waiting for the updated app. Apart from that it seems to work well as long as you check that the measured response looks plausible. I sometimes get totally different results with some sweeps. I think I get better results when manually disabling EQ before the test.Any updates from the beta testers?
Also, when can we expect the app / firmware update to be released?
@WiiM Team @WiiM Support Is it possible that the sweep is inconsistent? This is when using a subwoofer.Just from listening to the sweeps during the test I think that sometimes they sound different and that is when I get inconsistent results. Is that likely? The measured results would support my theory.
The only evidence I have is that it sounded different, possibly due to unwanted EQ being applied to it. Anyway the latest Home app has a bug fix for "Resolved Room Correction recording issues", maybe that will helpI don't see how the sweep itself can be inconsistent - it's just a music file.
Unless prior eq is applied to it?
You should be given the option to use separate channel RC but default may still be stereo so you would need to select it. I have never seen a warning about too much background noise but can only think you have the volume set too low.I now got whitelisted and have updated the firmware of my ULTRA. Am running Wiim Home App v.2.11.7.
My first issue is that the RC either does not complete or tells me that there is too much background noise.
The second issue is that I do not see it running seperate RC's for each channel, although I have the latest firmware and app.
What could be the cause of my mishaps?
I know that my room is not perfect - high ceilings and very little in terms of absorption. However with the old RC I did find it beneficial.

Hmm have you got the latest WiiM Home app? I just tried with the newly installed 2.11.6 on Android and mine has stopped giving me the option as well. It was working OK with the previous version. Not getting a choice to select separate channels
Independent channel RC doesn't work at all now with the latest app, it isn't even an option. @WiiM Team @WiiM SupportI don't see how the sweep itself can be inconsistent - it's just a music file.

You will also believe I have had no response to my ticket complaining about it as wellI do believe it.
If you can believe it, I have just received a reply from the kind folks at @WiiM Support, stating:You will also believe I have had no response to my ticket complaining about it as well
Let us know, Android version will arrive eventuallyIf you can believe it, I have just received a reply from the kind folks at @WiiM Support, stating:
The latest WiiM app version for iOS is 2.11.8. Please update to this version and try again.
So now I am just waiting for my iPhone to receive the new version...
I think you probably still need the beta FW.Just to understand. I have 2.11.8 version, but I have not the choice to select L+R RC.
May be that beside the latest version of WHA I need the Beta FW?
Ok, thxI think you probably still need the beta FW.
