Ongoing Beta Beta Test: Simultaneous USB out and Sub out

Is the "Speakers/Sub sync" issue mentioned above something that can be manually fixed by setting a "time delay" parameter to the subwoofer or main speakers? Or is it something more complex that cannot be fixed by manual parameterization?
I switched the output to spdif and then set the speakers/sub sync and switched the usb output back.

Did this work?

I could see there being a difference potentially between USB versus S/PDIF. For example, on my Geshelli JNOG3, the USB has to pass through the Amanero USB module in the DAC before conversion, whereas coax bypasses that, so, in theory, there could be a tiny difference in timing between the two. Hard to say if any factors exist architecturally with the WiiM itself, too.

Therefore I hope it will be fixed in final FW.

I can confirm. Speakers/Sub sync is broken when USB out is active (SPDIF works). I sent ticket in the app.
Hi wkamil,

Thanks very much for your feedback. We will release a new beta firmware to solve this issue this week.

after a few days of using the Beta it's time to express some feelings about it. As already said it is not possible to calibrate the delays automatically because the subwoofer sweep takes too long to be emitted. As for the SQ I can say that I have the impression that the stage has narrowed a lot in the central area. It seems that the separation between the channels is less than usual making the image not very wide with narrow sound planes and reduced to a smaller area between the speakers. Obviously these tests were done under the same conditions. Always with the same external DAC with the only difference of the firmware version and obviously the subwoofer. Has anyone else had the same impressions?

Hi WiiM Community,

We are seeking beta testers for the simultaneous USB Out and Sub Out feature, available exclusively on WiiM Amp, WiiM Amp Pro, and WiiM Ultra.

How to join this Beta?

If you are interested in beta testing this new feature, please provide your Wiim Forum username and MAC address in the Beta Test link.

Thanks!
WiiM Team
Just submitted my form! Excited to get the update and test.

With the latest update released today, 5.2.640252 and wiim app for iOS 3.08 (Android 3.07 and 3.08 the same), if I try to start a song on my Plex server, in the internal network, it doesn't start, the song becomes very slow and then the wiim seems to disconnect from the internal network. Is a fw rollback possible? Thanks and happy holidays

Have you tried turning it off and on again? Removing power not just standby.

Great just before new year eve.. what a team ! ThanksI will test and revert
Guys I have tested it.. simply fantastic..usually I get a delay in av sync for microseconds with any other outputs but usb out has no sync issues at all. Also the sub out calibration went well and aligned well. The issue i am facing now is an old one could you please check on this for optical inputs with teh beta firmware ?

I got the beta, i restarted the Ultra. But it works good a while. And then sound disappeared. I needed to start the things connected to hdmi and it works a short time and then silence. Never done that before.

Same here ..both for HDMI and Optical, this is a known bug as I shared above. Hope Wiim Team will resolve this
