Hi WiiM Community,

We are recruiting beta testers to experience our brand-new "Independent L/R Room Correction with Subwoofer" feature. This innovative tool allows for precise adjustments to each audio channel under a subwoofer output environment, enabling you to customize the sound according to your room’s unique characteristics. It’s especially ideal for optimizing performance in irregular layouts or obstructed channels.

To use this feature, you’ll need to download the upcoming app version 3.1.4, which will be officially released in a few days. Join us in testing this cutting-edge feature and help shape the future of personalized audio!

If you are interested in beta testing this new feature, please provide your Wiim Forum username and MAC address in the Beta Test link.

Please ignore the "Subwoofer output limits correction to stereo. Disable it for multi-channel correction" prompt after joining this beta test; you can go through the entire Independent L/R Room Correction process with your subwoofer.

Good to see this but why do we need to fill in a form? Other Beta firmwares are available for download from a list now.

Hi Slartibartfast,

This feature does not require updating the beta firmware; you simply need to use the latest version of the app (3.1.4). However, to limit the scope of the test, we need you to submit your device’s UUID. This will help prevent the beta feature from affecting most other users.

OK, I've joined 👍

Did you get an app update or how does this work ?
Yes make sure your app is updated. When you fill out the form it will ask you for your MAC address for your device. In your app go to Devices then hit the gear icon then hit Device Info. You’ll see the MAC address there. Give that info on the form.

Hi All,

We’ve added your devices to the beta allowlist. Please reopen the app and complete the Room Correction process for independent Left/Right Room Correction with the subwoofer.
I have no idea what you've done but since I started this beta test all my saved PEQ filters are screwed up. The look correct in the app but the actual playback response is incorrect. For example I have one stored as flat which is playing back with 4dB more bass than one stored as Harman.

How’s does it sound in comparison with stereo rc?

I can't really tell because because all my saved filters are destroyed by this beta
This image shows the response using the same saved filter before the beta and after the beta. Blue is before, Magenta is after. I am fuming.

This is a very unfortunate accident, but don't give up yet. If you get out of beta, there is a chance that PEQ will return to normal.

Please try to request to be removed from the white list.
Good luck

This feature does not required beta firmware they just need your Mac to activate.

Yes, but he has been added to the whitelist and the beta feature is enabled in the WHA. If disable it, it may return to normal. (If the PEQ value has not been tampered with.)

This feature is hard to get it right. It may stay in beta probably a little longer.

Hi Slartibartfast,

Thank you for your test. Our team will investigate this issue internally and work to identify the root cause as soon as possible.
