It starts earlier every year
A lot things have changed since then from late 90s when brick and mortar store was relevant people would camp out outside the store for big Black Friday. Since Amazon became so big many store have closed down. Majority of shoppers are done online. It’s convenient by just point and click and wait the following day. There’s pros and cons on this as more retail go out of business we see less people investing and building business to compete for low price. Maybe someday only place to shop is Amazon and from there price may go up however they want as there’s no more competition.

That is what I know about the 700. It is dated 2019, but this would confirm the device has a USB DAC. Thank you for taking the time to post this information, much appreciated! I currently have a USB hard drive connected to the rear USB-A input and it plays DSD/DSF files just fine. My comment...
