Black Friday Sale Starting Soon

I doubt it tbh and at the end of the day, it’s the WiiM store that would have to agree to that not Amazon.
Theu definitely won't do a partial refund on an already ordered item. They will need to return it and order another one. Daft but that's the way Amazon do things. If it was John Lewis they would have more luck 🤣

I note the highly regarded Cambridge Audio MXN10 streamer is now the same price as the WiiM Ultra in the UK following CA’s early participation in Black Friday. Disappointingly, we have yet to find out whether the UK will be part of the ‘exclusive 20% [Black Friday] discount in the US and other select locations’.
As an aside, has the word ‘exclusive’ itself not fallen out of favour among many, given it is the antonym of the word ‘inclusive’? Especially when, for example, it refers to some countries apparently benefiting but not others.

The MXN10 seems to be an excellent streamer. But, is it worth the extra compared to the Wiim Pro?

Isn't it a bit strange that Italy is the only county in Europe with Black Friday prices so far?
Maybe Europe doesn’t really celebrate thanksgiving in result no Black Friday. US also has cyber Monday and don’t know if Europe also have cyber Monday. Move in the US fictional character and enjoy living with liberal policy. 😝

Looks like if I try to order from amazon.it to the UK, it comes out at £277. If the "import taxes" quoted in the price include VAT (which may be optimistic I admit), then that may be a route for UK residents, but at their own risk.

It makes the delay in making similar offers directly available to UK and other EU residents crazy if they can go to another EU country and get it reduced from there...

Yes it all makes little sense.

Even though it should have next-day delivery, I would've preferred to order from my local Amazon website in case I need to rely on warranty or deal with returns later. Amazon also does this annoying thing where it won't show certain orders in your user account until you change the page location to the one you ordered them from... Anyways, first-world problems :)

Amazon UK have loads of Black Friday offers, just not on WiiM products....

It would be a better customer experience all round if the list of countries/regions included in the sale was published. Don’t really understand the cloak-and-daggers approach. It’s just annoying.

Yup... I wouldn't have ordered it from Italy if I knew the deal would be coming to my country later this week.

In many European countries we still have the concept of an exclusive distributor for the whole country (or even a wider region). Linkplay selling directly through Amazon doesn't get along too well with this, anyway. Maybe their contracts with local distributors have an impact here.

Maybe Audiogamma in Italy accept (or have to accept) Amazon Black Friday Sales, but e.g. Audio-Trade in Germany do not.

Just a guess.

Hey everyone,

Thanks for your patience and interest! The Black Friday sale will be starting on Black Friday (November 29th) in Germany (DE), United Kingdom (UK), Spain (ES), France (FR), Belgium (BE), and Sweden (SE) and will go through December 2nd.
HI, is that for all the models that are on sale in the USA? There was a suggestion the Ultra would be excluded

If this information had been in the original post, it would have saved a lot of speculation, and disappointment of potential purchasers.
