Brutal RMA Experience in Canada

Shortly after my last update, I had a call with the director at Gentec and he was very helpful. He took down a bunch of notes to improve their practices in the future and said he would follow up internally at Gentec and also with Microland, so others wouldn't have to go through the same problems in the future.

He also said they would be sending a Wiim Amp Ultra to replace my Pro to try and make up for the whole situation! They got it shipped out quite quickly as well. On top of that, he also said to keep the other amp, which was also very nice of them!

I have a tracking number and the new amp is supposed to arrive tomorrow, so even though the process was a struggle, I'm really thankful to @RyanWithWiiM and the director at Gentec, who both worked to get this resolved quickly after they were clued into this thread.

Thanks to everyone in this thread who helped out as well! I'm looking forward to setting up the amp tomorrow and getting back to listening to music 😅

imo, it'e the standout product in wiim's (current) lineup.
I probably enjoyed the WiiM Amp Ultra more than any other new WiiM product before. I kept it for many months in my main system (not missing much compared to my Lyngdorf amp), enjoying every aspect of it: The fantastic WiiM Voice Remote 2, its great HDMI-ARC support, the Ultra-like form factor screen, the beautifully integrated banana jacks, the matured and stable WiiM Home App and RoomFit algorithm: The WiiM Amp Ultra brought it all together at the right point in time.

Admittedly, this is a rather irrational, because many of these aspects can be had with other WiiM stuff as well. From an objective point of view, the WiiM Amp Pro is not that far behind and even the original WiiM Amp is still excellent in many setups. And let's not forget that the WiiM Ultra is still the master of flexibility, a valid flagship product. :D

Anyway, good to see this conciliatory outcome.
