I am having difficulty connecting my new WIIM Ultra to 2x Ruark MRX speakers - I am using 2 RCA to 3.5mm jacks (each from rear of Ultra to rear of speaker), switching Ultra to line out - but doesn’t work at all.

Speakers work OK with Bluetooth but I want to connect by cable.

To be honest, the Ruark speakers have always been a pain so it doesn’t surprise me they are not working now - I had hoped that wiring them to a WIIM Iltra would make them more obedient!

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Thanks Wilmer - I do, and it works! Just leave one of the plugs floating? Had those cables for years - will see tomorrow if I have another set in the shed. Thanks again!
Just out of interest, have you ever tried connecting the two speakers with a patch cable? I have no indication that this would work but with some other brands this is the preferred alternative to wifi communication of a stereo pair.

I don’t even know what a patch cable is - so, another thing to look up in the morning! Thanks for all your help, has been an education for me.

😁 That‘s an ethernet cable. The one that you use for hard-wired network connections. Your speakers have the corresponding RJ 45 sockets.

According to the manual there's no way.to connect two of these speakers via Ethernet cable.

I'm with @Wiimer here, two stereo cables (with one channel unused on the RCA side) are probably your best bet. Also,.you should probably set each speaker to Mono mode.

A mono (TS) plug inserted into a stereo socket (made for TRS plugs) will short the right channel at the speaker's input.

Usually not a good idea.

Thanks to you, I feel like I've become a little wiser. 😄

Seems like you should be using the Group setting in the UNDOK app to get the same sound out of both speakers. Have you tried Group?

From the little I could gather from the online manual if you set one speaker to LEFT and the other to RIGHT you'll magically get stereo.

I suggest you read the thread.
