Set up is a turntable plugged into the pro plus, Wiim line out to amp phono. It plays through the speakers from the amp, but when I try to use google home to play on speakers throughout the house, this is what I get. It shows as playing in the Wiim app, but not in google home. Same issue if playing from WiFi as a source instead of line.

If I got like a Wiim mini and plugged it into a speaker would it be able to simultaneously broadcast?
Absolutely, you're on the right track! A WiiM Mini connected to a speaker can indeed broadcast simultaneously. For more detailed information, you can check out this link. If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask!

I picked up a mini to try to get a link play with the pro plus. The mini is hooked to aux in a separate speaker and is able to stream in its own to that speaker. The Wiim plus will be playing from line in, but when I link it with the mini to play in sync the sound stops. First photo is playing, second is linked but no soundIMG_5385.png

Do I need a preamp in between the turntable and the pro plus?
Depends on the turntable.
But I thought you wrote earlier that line in to the pro was working, but that all sound stopped when you added the mini?
I'm assuming that if you stream something to the pro then add the mini to it that works? i.e. sound from both.

This is not an answer to your question, but I am curious about the green dot on the gear icon.

In most cases, it is a new firmware update notification.

So it will actively be playing on the pro plus, and when I click the link with the mini, it stops playing even though all the other inputs/outputs are otherwise the same

They’re both freshly unboxed and installed, but I’ll take a look later tonight if there’s new firmware that didn’t download

The presence of a green dot indicates that there are certain audio settings that require your attention, such as the maximum resolution for optical or coaxial connections. To address this ‘No Sound' issue, kindly provide us with feedback via the WiiM Home App. You can access this by navigating to the 'Settings' tab and tapping the 'Feedback' button. This will enable us to promptly assist you in resolving the issue.

The green dots was just for that, I had not looked at the coax or optical connections yet since I wasn’t using them. I’ve submitted through feedback

Just an update from more trial, if I use wireless as the input to the pro plus it will synchronize with the mini and play. Still having the same issue of line in stopping playing when I link the pro plus and mini.

Also just tested on a different turntable that has a built in preamp to see if a front end preamp made a difference. Still nothing when paired
I don't think the problem will go away unless the green dot on the gear icon disappears. Is the green dot still lit?

Also let's check the connection of the cable just in case. For example, mistaken for IN and OUT of AUX.

Green dot is gone. It was only that I hadn’t acknowledged the default settings for coax and optical out.

The line in works when it’s not paired. The linking works when I do WiFi as the input. The issue is when I try to link while also doing line in as the source.

I won’t be using this thread anymore. I started here believing I could broadcast on chrome cast which was incorrect, and in figuring out a work around ran into the line in issue that already has another thread.

If the mods want to delete the thread that is fine by me.
