Easy to spot this bulky but great sturdy plug.I'm not confident because I have aging eyes
Yesterday the smart plug arrived, so I checked the Ultra's Energy consumption. As already mentioned, it was 5W.
It's a bit wonder how it keeps switching between 4W and 5W.

I wasn't aware of the Charge Guard feature, but I found it when searching within the Tapo app. Is this still not operational?
But Ultra is always been 5W, so it's pointless, isn't it?
In practice, it's essentially network standby, so it might be acceptable. Still, it would have been better if it were under 3W.

. I have it set to power off (charge guard) at 12watts (user defined) for 12 minutes (user defined) so when I put the Ultra into standby the amp follows and after 12 mins it switches the power off .

Btw, do you use the Tapo app to switch the Ultra's power on? I'm thinking of leaving it to Alexa, but I don't always use voice control... Do you have this?

Yup it was a daft question. I do the same with my smart plugs, or use the TP-Link appI ask google home to 'turn on Ultra'

I've just realised that the Tapo app now supports Kasa smart plugs. I've been avoiding Tapo until now. Next time I need a smart plug I'll buy TapoI don't, but I use the tapo app on my phone sometimes, but usually just Google assistant ( I named the outlet Ultra)

Certainly on the plug version there is the energy monitoring version or the non energy monitoring model which is slightly cheaper, but not so much fun..

I had a Kasa plug to turn on an electric blanket for 10 minutes then switch off. When the electric blanket stopped working it coincided with an old timer socket dying so the smart plug was transferred to the Christmas tree lightsI have been using mine since April. . The other two smart plugs are for the WiiM Amp/Subwoofer and lights but none of them measure power usage
