Free range electricity is so hard to come by these days. Not like the old days when the pylons could wander freelyYou forgot free-range!

Battery cages for laying hens is at least very controversial. The meat isn't good and so are the eggssome say "battery raised" electricity produces a meatier sound but its hard to eggsplain scientifically![]()
Adults here with and without heavy wallets, but all with an abundance of free will. We can fight our own fights. Carry on.There are loads op people with not so heavy wallets that are scammed into buying al kinds of snake-oil products they can't really afford and do nothing for them. I'm "fighting" for them.
That’s snake-oil territory.You forgot free-range!
This is a great example of the aforementioned term "pointless sense of superiority"Such discussions are wasting of time between two eternal frontlines. Thanks heaven I have lots of time for such nonsense.
My gusto, my money, my opinion, my decision! I am simply too old for this perpetuum mobile. But crusaders or Robin Hoods are always ridiculous.
Having and spending more than others is not per se a bad characteristic
But in some cases or in discussions like this one it is a f...g good feeling.![]()
Yes!This is a great example of the aforementioned term "pointless sense of superiority"
Yep, you’re coming across as a condescending person there chap. The power comes from the utility provider on the cheapest metal that’ll do the job, routes to a transformer on your block, again the cheapest that’ll do the job, then into your home breaker box and wiring which the builder absolutely used the cheapest that’ll do the job, then the cheap receptacle outlet, then the power is magically transformed by the Audioquest snake oil power cable, then into the WiiM’s power supply and all other circuitry, and you think you can hear the difference in few feet of Audioquest cable being present versus the power cable that WiiM tested and supplied with their own product?
You only say that because your believe is challenged. I thought it was a great explanation and he's not calling people names as you just did.Yep, you’re coming across as a condescending person there chap.
Please keep discussions civil.Yep, you’re coming across as a condescending person there chap.
It’s not my ‘belief’ that is challenged. You only say that because your believe is challenged. I thought it was a great explanation and he's not calling people names as you just did.
You seem to feel that you’re free to pass disparaging comment on my mental and emotional state. You really do need to rein yourself in.From where I stand, part of the benefit of not getting suckered into believing the likes of AudioQuest about anything is that I don’t need everything everyone says to be sugarcoated, and I’m incapable of being insulted by people describing the laws of electrical engineering. Forget the financial expense, it feels to me that the mental and emotional expense the power cables have on you is not as immeasurable as the electrical performance benefit.
The stereo sounds great but I've no idea where the dachshund has gone.
Well I think that if you are not in some kind of hostile emotional state (remember that you started calling names when your ideas got challenged) then maybe you are a comedian? Pragmatist is on a whole other level and way out of line I think. You seem to feel that you’re free to pass disparaging comment on my mental and emotional state. You really do need to rein yourself in.
I have explained in my earlier post that on one occasion I saw no benefit of a change. On another occasion, I have. How simple is that for you to accept for goodness sake?
Let me give you an analogy.
I say, “I have been on a boat. It went to France.” I then say, “I have been on another boat. It went to Spain.”
You then say, “I’ve seen lots of boats. They all go to France. You can’t possibly have been on a boat that went to Spain. You’ve got it wrong.”
Daft isn’t it.
