How do I synch WiiM sub with my speakers?

Hi All,

Apologies if my question is silly, but can't get my head around it and couldn't find any answer on the forum.

How do I automatically synch my WiiM Sub with the speakers? Can't find any options anywhere. Is it done automatically when I run RoomFit (which I have done), has the option been removed or is it hidden somewhere?

Please help!

Thanks

Can I please get some help here? I also wrote team support, but they refer to a Synch sub and speakers option that I can't find

I don't have the WiiM Sub, but maybe this helps:

"Go to the Device tab > Device Settings > Sub Out >Subwoofer & Speaker Sync in the WiiM Home app."

Thank Erebus but... when I go looking for "Device tab > Device Settings > Sub Out >Subwoofer & Speaker Sync" there's no such an option...
It was there before using Wiim sub (I had a different sub before), but it's gone when I paired the Wiim sub...
Maybe it's meant to be that way, maybe RoomFit takes care of synching during the DSP process automatically, but if that's the case it should be stated clearly, so that users don't go crazy looking for it

I don't have the WiiM Sub Pro either, but I gather there's a unique setup app that associates the sub with a specific speaker - I was curious so I looked at the www site's product images and found the image below. Does such a thing look familiar in your Wiim Home app? What DO you see?

Once associated, you should at least see some status... and get some nice audible feedback too I would think ;-).

Is it also possible to use the WiiM Sub Pro like any other subwoofer - plugged into a WiiM Ultra via LFE and configured via [Ultra] device settings > Wired Subwoofer - Sub Out -->? I guess I would expect the WiiM devices to shake proverbial hands and work perfectly together :sneaky:.

I believe when you pair it wirelessly, the WiiM software takes care of some of the settings you can no longer see if you didn't pair but just used a cabled connection to the sub.

Let me repeat that pairing and wireless connection are two different things. You can (and probably should) pair the WiiM Sub Pro to your WiiM Ultra or any of the amps even when using a wired connection. It took me quite a while to grasp this concept.

This isn't clear just from reading the manuals. The Help Center articles are more helpful, but not everybody is going to read them and they still don't answer why there is no separate sync setting after paring the devices.

And in all honesty, I still don't understand how the automatic synch is achieved, assuming it really does happen automatically. At least I had no need to add any delay in my setup. But I cannot say if this is because Subwoofer RoomFit and RoomFit somehow worked it out or just by chance. 😅
