Can't you stick to Facebook to share random irrelevant comics?

I agree, I don't understand the need to turn every topic related forum into general social media content. I will of course ignore this topic but this is how good forums die. Only a matter of time before something offensive gets posted and from there it degenerates.

Audio forums are famous for being deadly dull, populated by boring, opinionated, self-satisfied, generally overpaid/pensioned individuals (who me?) who bat on about cables, plugs, organic trebles, etc.

A small space for humour (non-sexist, racist, etc) is no bad thing.

And it isn't Facebook or the social network formally known as Twitter.

Yes it's nice to have a laugh sometimes, but there was already a misc hifi humor related thread @castalla

And there people don't seem to respect the "hifi-related" aspect so you might as well use that.

Unfortunately this is also not always the case, which seems typical for audio related forums and which is why I think we don't need another "humor" thread. Why not just refer to Reddit?

Better usage of the Off Topic forum would be help with non-WiiM setups or other technical questions, sharing music, interesting finds or experiences...

This is a tech-brand's user forum after all. It's starting to feel bloated by a few guys who seem to have just learned how to copy-paste images (some of them call them cartoons or "funny") from one forum to the other. Can't come up with something a little more original?

And yes, I have "unwatched" these threads, but they keep showing up on the homepage.

Original? I started a few original threads on another forum (one on covers & artwork - over 1700 posts). 2 members objected & whoosh it was gone. Another, where Ill, sick or just hypochondriacal could give in all gory detail their operations & symptoms, rather than post in other threads, was also axed.

I posted an audio clip of Beethoven's Ode to Joy (which had the EU flag in YouTube audio), that got me reduced to new member with constant moderation. Now I'm just a lurker there
