I have a few wiim amp ultras. One is connected to my Tv via arc. The audio has stopped a few times lately. A tiny nudge on the hdmi cable plugged into the wiim makes this happen. I’ve tried several known working cables and it happens on all.

anyone else had this issue?

Please take a photo of the HDMI port to check for pin damage or foreign objects. This is the HDMI port on my Amp Ultra. Mine does not have that issue.

Hey - I rebooted my device and it stopped happening. Similar outcome to the other person who had a similar issue in this thread:

Seems to be a relatively recent and common issue - I am going to raise a ticket in the app.

It is a good behavior to always do a factory reset after any FW update.
It's a common rule, valid for almost all devices... even if it means to lose all presets and PEQ curves. 🫤
I don't agree on that. My Ultra have been running for more than a year without any reset and without any errors. Just the usual rebooting.

The same goes for my PCs, TV, etc.

Maybe mine is just a behavior belonging from early days of Android phones, anyway the Pro+ I also have is quite prone to some mishaps after firmware updates, and my Ultra also had a couple in a recent past.

Luckily nothing that a factory reset could'n solve, so I now see this as a preventive care. 😄

Others will call it going over the top for no obvious reason. ;)

Each WiiM device does a reboot automatically a the end of the firmware update process. Usually, this is all it takes. If there seems to be any issue, the next step is to cut the mains power for a couple of minutes and that should be all that's ever needed.
