It's time to evolve into new Flagship

Although I think their software is better than a lot of established companies. As a Marantz user, if you have ever used Heos, that thing belongs in the bin. The same goes for Yamaha software, which is truly awful.
I briefly had a Heos Link HS2 which I’d bought for 24/192 Amazon Music Unlimited. Anytime I mentioned it, I relished the use of the adjective “execrable” to describe its app 😜

There's an interesting FiiO S15 streamer with excellent hardware, but the software isn't just bad; it's practically nonexistent. If a similar streamer were from WiiM, I'd be rushing to the store.

Regarding a sub-brand, creating one would entail significant expenses and significantly increase the cost of the product. This is only possible if the product is truly positioned as luxury. Why would WiiM need this? Such companies already exist. Using existing developments, an affordable flagship could be created without unnecessary sacrifices.

You appear to be confusing the new brand with the sub-brand..
What's the difference? The device will have a word I'm unfamiliar with. I've been on this forum for a long time, and I was sure "Vibelink" was the name of one of the models. Few will be aware of any connections between the brands.

But what are we even talking about? We're fighting over the skin of an unkilled bear.

'WiiM' is Linkplay's (main) brand. Different series can be added beneath this to form sub-brands. E.g., 'Vibelink', which lacks streaming functionality, and the premium-oriented 'Absolute' would be considered sub-brands. 'New brand' refers to Linkplay launching a new brand in a different category from WiiM. At least, that is my understanding.

Here, the product manager is answering my question.

Will "Vibelink" be part of a series in the future as a different product lineup than "WiiM," with products like a Vibelink CDP, DAC, DSP, or NAS?

PM: Possibly! The Vibelink lineup introduces a complementary brand within the WiiM family, focusing on non-streaming devices designed for pure audio performance. It’s feasible to expand into specialized categories, with the Vibelink name growing into its own series, featuring non-streaming, audiophile-focused devices like DACs, DSPs, or even a CDP.

I don't know. I wasn't fighting. 🤷🙂

I don't know. I wasn't fighting.
It's a proverb. In our case, it means there's no flagship product even in the works, but we're already releasing it under some brand. ;)

"To divide the skin of a bear that has not yet been killed." - that's right.
