Let's update power cable with something shielded

I found one sold on Amazon under the Tertullus brand (no, it's not Tellurium), it's cheap so suitable for the role
The resistance check for mains first.
A stock one:


A shielded one:


Definitely better.

Now something much more important - a test of shielding efficiency with the NCV sensor, which can detect the presence of AC voltage.

A stock one:


4 bars, the led is blinking all the time along with the buzzing.

And a shielded one:


Simply nothing, complete silence. Wow!
I want it now But...

It does not fit when USB port is also used...


I will have to use an adapter for C7/C14, someone mentioned it already on the forum.

I see and understand your measurements. What I don't understand: What effect should the shielded cable have on the sound? If the incoming mains voltage is ‘dirty’ - whatever that means - it doesn't make it any cleaner, does it?
Can you publish any meaningful measurements of the output signal with both mains cables that prove an ‘improvement’?

Probably no effect at all, at least not in my environment.

No, it doesn't. All I expect it does is protecting other cables in the close vicinity, especially signal ones, from interferencing from the mains.

That's the plan. Of course if I find anything.
I'm gonna replace a DAC cable and an amp cable too. Listening tests included as well

Interesting
You probably gonna have the same effect as using ferrite chokes on the power chord. Less RFi back to the grid makes the sound slightly darker affecting all components in your system like preamp, poweramp and dac.

You may try place in a metal tube then fill the tube with cement.

You need to use wifi as I did not find an ethernet connector yet that is small enough.

Unfortunate that topic discussing these things are so often filled by posters that only make jokes out of it.
It would be nice to be able to discuss it on a technical level...

I got the power adapter today and I will get the angled USB one tomorrow, so I will compare them and choose which is more convenient.
Some people think that they know the answers in advance. I make this mistake from time to time too. As I said, I don't expect to find a measurable difference in my setup, although it would be a different story in the presence of ground loops. On the other side I was pretty sure that all the toslinks will behave the same in terms of the jitter as far as they are short. And I was wrong.

Measuring the cable is utterly pointless. We don't listen to cables, we listen to the signal that comes out of the RCAs on the back.

The idea of cable should not change anything much like their saying garbage in garbage out. Unless you talk to canard that will be different story.
