When registered to Presets 1 to 8, you can play them by pressing the remote's preset buttons. Double-clicking a preset button plays Presets 5 to 8. (Double-clicking Button 1 plays Preset 5.)
Thank you, you're very kind, unfortunately this is a reggae station and not preset-able it seems or more importantly cashable to wiim! In other news, I turned the unit on from standby after 48 hours and couldn't connect through the app and spent an hour reinstalling app/resetting unit/headbanging before being able to stream.....I'm almost ready to invoke a PayPal refund having had this for 4 days....
I thoroughly appreciate your immediate replies to my post, I can see you're a real asset to this community, unfortunately I can't be doing with non intuitive tech x

realrootsradio.net (reggae) is not in the Tune-in database or other radio catalogs it seems. They have not published a streaming URL which you need in order to connect via Open Network Stream in the WiiM Home app. There only is a player on their website, if you are a chrome browser users you can Google Cast (Chromecast) it to your WiiM but it would offcource be nice to do it stand alone on the WiiM. Maybe ask them to provide you with a streaming URL.
You have found one of the very few radio stations that seem to only provide their programs via a website. ;)
Thank you, this is indeed the station I'm trying to stream, I've had this unit 4 days, I'm a total 65 year old newbie and seem to have broken the toy/matrix 😬😁😂

Thank you for your kind words. I'm truly honoured. I'm sorry to hear it's not working for you.

Have you tried a Bluetooth connection?

Simply switch the Pro Plus input to Bluetooth, open your smartphone's Bluetooth settings, and pair it with the Pro Plus.

There appears to be more than one Real Roots Radio station. No idea which one the OP wants.

Tbf I thought I'd originally done this but it still asked for my home broadband password 😬 I think I need to proper factory reset if I hadn't done that already and start again...again 🙄 this is a one year old unit I bought last week from a guy who upgraded to an Ultra so perhaps not being brand new it's a little muddled in its new home? Having said that I did get it reconnected last nite and was using it but through (seemingly) my home broadband! When it's working it's great btw x

Hi d4ves. Try going to 'Open Network Stream' in the Wiim Home app and pasting in the url below:

And then add the preset as Wiimer mentioned earlier in the thread by clicking on the three dots on the now playing screen on the Wiim Home App to add it as a preset. Hope that helps!
Wow, how did you find that? I've been looking at browser tools in Firefox and found nothing 🙂

I tend to use the Developer Tools menu in Chrome to find URLs - it launches a separate window which displays activity on the page.

I select the Media tab, then press play to stream the station and note the URL that's playing. It's 99% reliable but doesn't work for certain streams/sites (Apple Radio for one).

Make sense?

@d4ves,

Open Network Stream can be found in the Music Services section of the Browse menu. If it is not present, tap the customisation icon and enable Open Network Stream.

Then paste the URL @Radio Guy gave you into this screen and tap the "Open stream" button to play the radio.🙂📻

Definitely. I was trying similar in Firefox but Firefox doesn't have a Media tab. I found it in Chrome 👍. Many moons ago there was a utility called URL Sniffer for this purpose

Bloody hell!! I'm streaming real roots radio and it's now linked as a preset!! Bonkers!!! Dont know how you did that or how to replicate it for other sites!? I only hope you good people try this link too and enjoy some serious roots music 😉 thank you x......also the unit turned on automatically without being searched for when i opened the app which I'm hoping it'll do regularly but don't want to get ahead of myself 😬😂

Great! He explained how he found the working streaming URL above already. Most stations are in the Tune-in or Vtuner catalog and others provide the streaming URL on their website so mostly you don't need any tricks to discover them.
That the WiiM came out of standby when you wanted it to do something via the Home app is the standard behavior, as it should be. If that does not happen (while it is connected to power) it's safe to assume it is a network problem, lost wifi signal or other network related cause.

So pleased it's working for you - really happy to help! Sounds like a great station too!

See my reply to @slartibartfast above to see how I found it, it's a method that works for most (but not all) stations online.

I love my Wiim Pro - Happy listening!

Between all you lovely people, I'll be a wiim veteran by the end of the week x

That's too clever for me but I know a man who can now 😉
