so my wiim ultra is set up with 2 sources. ROON via ethernet, and a CD player via LINE IN. Anytime I stream from ROON I have no issues, sub comes on, the world is good. Then if I want to listen to a CD and switch to the RCA input, the SUB does not come on. What am I missing?

Are you using presets for input switching? If so, please check that Sub is turned on in the preset editing screen.

Sorry, I forgot to put Ultra in the post lol. The sub has no standy, and as mentioned it works fine with other sources.
That's strange..

It's unusual for input to cause the subwoofer to stop producing sound.

When you open the WiiM app while playing a CD, is the subwoofer toggle turned on?

Also, can you play a track with heavy bass and check if the subwoofer driver is vibrating?

Yeah I am finding it strange too, I was hoping I missed something obvious lol. Yes, the subwoofer toggle was on, and the sub was 100% dead. no vibrations.

Unplug the Ultra's power cable, leave it disconnected for a while, then reboot it.

I can't recall if the same issue was reported before, but it might have been.

If issue not resolved, I recommend submitting a ticket via the feedback section in the WiiM app.
(WiiM home > More > Feedback)

Your device logs will be sent, which will help resolve the issue.

I just gave this a shot, no change. Sub still dead.
Can you connect the CD to the Ultra's optical input and check if sound comes out of the subwoofer?

It might be a bug in the Ultra. You can also install the older firmware from the WiiM app's Device Info and check if it works properly.

I actually used to have it hooked up optical and it worked no problem. This is a recent change as I want to use the CD players own DAC.

Off topic, but connecting a CD via RCA cables degrades sound quality because it passes through the Ultra's ADC.
