At least I tried to directly address the part of your posting that I reply to. You don't seem to care as long as you can repeat what you said before.
That's not a sensible way to discuss topics.
If you are more interested in quoting the chosen ones, keeping their secret knowledge, you're free to do so, of course. Just be prepared that I might continue to point out how pointless this is.![]()
Come on now. Believing that somehow there is a magic way of "cleaning up" data transmission originating from a (very) remote location using boatloads of industry standard routers, switches, network cards, optical and copper cabling.... I'm sorry but this is another example of: "People who lack the knowledge will make up their own explanations."Also, I use dual Cisco Meraki switches from a fiber optic router going into a WiiM Pro. Very impressed how standard Blue Jeans Ethernet cable’s with the Meraki do so well in my quality system. (I removed the Meraki power supplies but dream of further mods.”
You probably know the German term ‚beratungsresistent‘. You can do or say what you want, it won‘t make a difference to them.I know that this a "battle" that will never result in a consensus but I keep trying to understand why it is so hard to "them" to take advice from the people who know the subject, the people who design and/or repair the stuff we all are listening to.
I would never dare to argue with a good lawyer or surgeon for instance because I'm well aware that I lack the knowledge.
No.This is not only sensible but proven to be most sensible.
You're welcome.Have a great day.

Congratulations.OK, I'll bite.
No.
You're welcome.
Sorry, Hans, I actually learned about this from a guy in Europe. First, I tried it with the Cisco 2960 and definitely heard improvement. Then I got ahold of two Cisco Meraki, removed the power supplies, a five minute job and even better.Come on now. My wife ran in from the garden to find out what I'd changed to make it sound so much more musical.Almost as if a veil had been lifted![]()
Don't want to hijack the thread but made mention. With my full range system, it's not even a topic for different opinion.
Nope. All your theoretical speculative opinion on my system is meaningless to me. Already know the outcome from the Cisco Merakis' and the battery power to the WiiM Pro. None of you do. My sharing the information is to help others who consider such minimal investment in time and cost. All together now...
"Oh Yes It Is !"
Yes it surely helps other people who also don't have the technical knowledge to enter "the cult". We (the people who understand) don't like charlatans like Chord (cables and mediocre but pricey dacs), AudioQuest, especially Synergistic Research and many others who sell lies and sometimes half truths, they are only in it to make money and mislead people in the process. A lot of these tweaks selling guys are raking in large sums of money and that is not only not fair, in my opinion it should be illegal to do so.Nope. Your opinion without hearing either the before or after proves the point. Some are invested in believing what they aren't even hearing.![]()
As some ignored the earlier reference to Alpha Audio's testing (with data published); I have no interest in arguing about any industry products as I've advocated for none. What I referenced was personal testing of used and inexpensive products to the power input of the WiiM Pro/+.Yes it surely helps other people who also don't have the technical knowledge to enter "the cult". We are not debunkers, we have made efforts to understand the topics we are talking about.

I'm keeping the used Cisco Meraki routers (using Blue Jean ethernet cable throughout) and looking to further modify one because it's shown significant positive impact with the battery-powered input to the WiiM Pro. If others try similarly, great, but speculation by you among others is fine, even if you've not tested nor heard similar.
Your beef is more with the Alpha Audio boys in the Netherlands.
You can take up the fight with them. Tell them how your opinion "tested" against their equipment.
Well I personally ignored the Alpha Audio nonsense because I already know (and understand) what they are doing. The measurements that this guy does in the video you linked is completely irrelevant and flawed, I can explain why at length but you will not be able to understand it anyway. What others and I say is not an opinion or speculation in the literal sense of the words, it's deeply based on science to begin with.As some ignored the earlier reference to Alpha Audio's testing (with data published); I have no interest in arguing about any industry products as I've advocated for none. Powerful position.Nonsense
Some of you folks think your opinion is "education." While fascinating, it does reveal the human condition as it is.Well I personally ignored the Alpha Audio nonsense because I already know (and understand) what they are doing. Nobody here asked you to ditch your Cisco stuff by the way, if you are happy with it it's fine.
Just trying to educate but I see it is indeed a lost battle and although it saddens me I can live with it for sure.
