Hopefully qobuz can fix the connect functionality.
I think they could get more customers with this option.
Just wondering..: Is qobuz making profit at this time?
Spotify didn't make profit for years I think they are now.
Of course Spotify is much bigger the Qobuz..
I think the connect functionality is important and the functionality of the app itself ( for instance the recommendations, available genres). For what I read the streaming quality is very good.

However in June, she also said "it's true that we can't yet communicate on the brands integrated on Qobuz Connect, and it's for this reason that WiiM has withdrawn its communication, which was too early", implying WiiM got a little slap on the wrist for mentioning it in their roadmap.

You remember Spotify hifi that they promise to release but to this day still vapor ware? I think the same thing can be said on them. Serious company will do everything to stay relevant knowing there are so many competition out there to choose from.

I get offers for Prime members often. This is the third time for me.

Every time I open an Amazon Music App on any of my devices I get the annoying pop up asking me if I want a free trial of friends and family membership

I thought I'd get a Bluesound Nano to trial it against my WiiM's and it arrived today .... I thought the easiet way to do absolute back to backs would be to sign up for the trial so I could play the same track on both devices, I've opened the App on every device I have and not one has offered me the trial .... sods bloody law.

I reckon, maybe Alexa has hidden cameras and saw me open another device

Maybe Amazon rewarded me because I bought two robot vacuums last month.

Apple, Amazon and Spotify will be the remaining streamers. IMO the others will cease or be acquired. Last I checked Qobuz had a little over 200k subscribers. Tidal is hemorrhaging cash.

And even with MRM group playback, Amazon can play up to 24/48, while Qobuz was CD quality. (But for me this is not a problem.)

Amazon's app is so poorly made that it would be ideal for me if Amazon acquired Qobuz and included Alexa in the Qobuz app.

I edited my post above. Not chromecast issues but transcoding, for example in iOS devices wired to DACs. AMU used to automatically transcode every track to the max playback quality set on the device. That may have changed by now but I saw that a year or so ago.
