Room Correction for Turntables

I really enjoy the room correction on the WiiM Pro. My listening room is acoustically treated and it still makes a positive impact. I have my turntable phono pre amp going through the WiiM and I highly recommend it! Personally I like the Harman Target Curve, followed by the B&K.

As I mentioned physical room treatments are important, but this is a game changer for those with poor room set up, with speaker positioning usually a matter of constraints. I recommend trying all three target curves, B&K, Harman and Flat. I also recommend a completely quiet room, or the fancy term a low noise floor. This will allow for more accurate results. I have my turntable going out to a phono pre amp, a Pro-ject with that going into the line in of the Pro, and the WiiM Pro out with coax to an outboard DAC.
 
This may be a dumb question: the connection described by Chazz77 seems to go into the Ultra with analog signal from tt/phono stage, which is then converted to digital by the Ultra, and then converted back to analog by the DAC before going into the amp. Is this the only way to add Ultra’s room correction?
If I wanted to stay analog and go line-in/line-out, room correction won’t be applied?

There are no analog passthrough in the WiiM devices (maybe except for the new Vibelink?). All is handled in the digital domain.

You are not giving anything up by going ADC (Analogue to Digital) then to DAC (Digital to Analogue) with a turntable running through the WiiM. All the vinyl warmth is still intact. For me the room correction is a big plus. In my world there is no such thing as a "dumb question". We live, we learn.

Just to state it very clearly: Yes, room correction is applied digitally. That's the only sensible way of doing it.

As mentioned by @hgo58, there's no way to do that with the WiiM Ultra, so consequently room correction can be applied to all sources, just because they are all either originally digital or digitised.

I use parametric EQ (which is what the WiiM «Room Correction» uses) to iron out the top octave hump on my Audio-Technica AT33PTG/II cartridge. It runs through the MC input on a Cambridge Alva Duo phono amp to the Ultra Line In.
I also use the Ultra PEQ for my headphones. I’ve done room correction manually with Umik-1, REW and parametric EQ in my MiniDSP Flex Eight four way loudspeaker front end.
Yeah, don’t worry about converting the warm analog vinyl sound to digital and back. The benefits from DSP are fantastic.
 
Thanks for all the answers, I didn’t realize there’s no analog pass-through on the Ultra, it’s all clear to me now.
I’ve asked the question out of curiosity, the funny thing is I’ve been trying several different room correction settings and measurements for the past 3months, and I keep going back to EQ off…
