The best thing with this Room fit function is that we in practice have 20 peq bands to play with, combining EQ with Roomfit. This gives us a very nice opportunity to fine tune everything, but also measure from psychoacoustic correct distance with the microphone.
One can use Roomfit to correct everything between 30-500Hz from listening position , in stereo using a good microphone.
After that, one can use a microphone stand and measure only one speaker outside in the garden for frequencies 500-20000 Hz , from a distance of about 1.5 meter , on axis or at the listening angle one uses in the listening room ( 15 degrees off axis as an example ) .
What we do here is correcting the speakers frequency response above 500-20000 Hz without the room and this must be done with measurements on only one speaker without reflective walls
After this is done - you can combine the results from Roomfit 30-500Hz with EQ 500-20000 Hz in the garden and now we have 20 bands of correction , psycoacoustically measured correctly in the WiiM app.
I have tried this today , and the result combining Roomfit with EQ is beyond my expectations - very good sound.
