Hello everyone, the Ultra should have 2V on the sub out. When will it reach the 2V? Sub-level at 0 and volume at 100% or sub-level at 15 and volume at 100%? Unfortunately, I can't measure it myself because I don't have a measuring device.
Hi Sven, I cant measure for you right now but the more important thing would be that it scales together with the Wiim volume settings.
So leaving it at 0db (no gain) would be ”correct” and then adjusting the volume on your subwoofer so it matches your front speakers.
Or perhaps you have specific requirement on your setup that needs this value?
I briefly had an SVS 1000 Pro and now a 2000 Pro and both do not turn on at 0db when I listen to soft music or watch television. Currently I have set +15db in the Wiim app and -30db in the SVS app and thus I have no problems with the automatic switch-on and it sounds good with my speakers. I'm just worried that the Ultra overdrives from a certain volume and sends a bad signal to the subwoofer.
I use the trigger output for my Hypex Ncore amplifier because otherwise it does not turn on. I don't want to leave the sub on all the time. Electricity is expensive.
The sub consumes the 0.5 watts in standby. If it's on and doesn't get a signal, it's much more. I've already thought about the splitter for the trigger cable. But if there are no problems with the current settings, I could also leave it as it is. That's why my question with the 2V. Well, it's just the SB 2000 Pro. That doesn't shake the house yet
