I’m thrilled to share my excitement about the new firmware and software that now have arrived for all my Ultra, Amp Ultra, iPhone, and Apple TV. Frequent and substantial updates from WiiM have significantly enhanced my post-purchase satisfaction and the improvements in functionalities are often so fundamental that many other companies would ask to “pay” for them via necessity to upgrade to the newer, more expensive versions of their products.

Here, in essence, I feel like I’m getting a new, much improved, and more exciting version of the product almost every month. And as often happens, the modifications directly come from comments on this forum, making us feel like co-authors of those improvements and fostering a deeper emotional connection to the product.

As a marketer by trade, I believe that this is a prime example of how excellent customer service and diligently listening to user comments can substantially increase the value of a product, brand image, and overall customer satisfaction.

Does anyone else have similar observations? Let’s share them so we can together further motivate @WiiM Team as well as express our gratitude for their outstanding work!

What's a 'marketer' by trade mean? 🤔

To be honest, I've no idea what a lot of the 'improvements' actually do - what I hear now is no different to what I heard a year ago. 😁

sorry. i express my gratitude by buying the products. sometimes the slime trail is embarrassing. they do a good job, better in certain aspects than the competition. but a church will be a better place for honors.

I 100% agree with this. The fact that the company continues to add more and more value post-purchase for nothing extra/no monthly added cost/subscription service is just incredible. Sure, there are occasional bugs/issues that arise with the added functionality, but the rate of new firmware updates means even those bugs get squashed quicker than normal!

It probably depends on what functionalities you actively use, but e.g. for me the following are among the core add-ons:
a) TV app changing the way I can “view” the music I am playing,
b) Much enhanced room correction
c) Better remote usability with more presets available - small thing but really crucial (I hope that the total number of presets would be soon increased*, as indicated in one of the WiiM posts)
d) Improved display options for the Utras’ screens (with further enhancements pending*)
* I probably will get excited again when those are implemented.

And “marketer by trade” I guess means that I spent most part of my professional life in marketing? But I may wrong, I am not a native speaker:).

Well, somehow I believe that this is not all about money and sometimes a kind word may be of value too. But obviously you are entitled to your own (surprisingly strong?) opinions...

I agree, WiiM are adding useful improvements to my equipment for free and for that I am grateful.
What a difference to most tech companies who "unimprove" their apps, tech and services by battering the sh*te out of you with more and more ads!
