According to my dns analyser, my WIIM Amp uses time.windows.com for some services. It is indicated as a NTP (Network Time Protocol) server.

Given that I already have such a service in my local network, and current geopolitical issues, it would be favourable to have this configurable, e.g. via the WIIM Home app.

Thanks,
Pierre

What percentage of users do you think know what NTP and DHCP option 42 are? Not very high would be my take.

Most people do not run a local NTP server. In fact there are strong arguments against doing so.

You guys must be afraid to loose an hour here and there. Don‘t worry it‘ll be back. Time is non-manipulable.
Or are you afraid that the time schedule of your home automated coffee machine will be hacked and you could be late for work?
