Turning Pro Plus On/Off

As a point of clarification, no WiiM will go into Standby mode if your listening session is using an internet streaming source (e.g. internet radio). The WiiM will keep playing forever even if you have it set to go into Standby mode after x minutes.

Isn’t that a given? Standby only occurs after a period of inactivity I.e. when nothing’s playing. If you’re playing anything, internet radio or not, it’s not inactive so won’t enter standby.

You are not answering the question, Do I have to turn it off after a listening session?

My answer is, it depends on what your source is for your listening session.

If the question is about “after a listening session” then continuing to stream internet radio isn’t “after”…

What defines the end of a listening session? ;) Let's not split hairs here.

Amp Pro and Amp Ultra have it too.🙂
I'm pretty sure that originally the option "Never" was not available at least in EU countries in the Android (and possibly iOS) app. This has changed at one point in time, but I cannot remember when.

Just remember that the WiiM Pro Plus is never fully "off" - even in standby mode - unless you cut it from the power supply. So, it depends on what your concern is.

After the music has stopped (in one way or the other) the Pro Plus will enter standby automatically after the configured time period and it will wake up automatically whenever you start streaming again.

If you want it to not consume any power and not be reachable from any device, you must disconnect the power supply.

Yeah, I looked into it a bit, but I don't know when this started adding. I was going to ask WiiM AI, but he hasn't come back yet.😅
